1. Condition of Books
Each book listed on our website includes a detailed description of its condition. We categorize our books into conditions such as “Very Good,”  “Good,” “Fair” and “Poor.” Before making a purchase, please visit our “Book Condition” page to ensure the book’s condition meets your expectations.

2. Returns for Second-Hand Books:
Returns must be initiated within 7 days from the delivery date.
To be eligible for a return, the book must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To initiate a return, please contact our customer support team with your order number and reason for the return at books@boxesandbooks.co.za. We will provide you with instructions on how to proceed.

3. Refund Process:
Upon receiving your return, we will inspect the book to ensure it matches the condition in which it was originally sent. Following a satisfactory inspection, we will process your refund.
Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within 7 days of receiving the returned item. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

4. Shipping Costs:
Customers are responsible for paying their own shipping costs for returning an item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

5. Damaged or Incorrect Items:
If you receive a book that is damaged or incorrect (not matching the online description or the condition indicated), please contact us within 7 days of receipt to arrange for a return and refund or exchange. In such cases, we will cover the return shipping costs.

6. Non-Returnable Items:
Please note that certain items may be exempt from being returned, including special sales, rare books, or collectibles specified as “non-returnable” at the time of purchase.
